Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The short version: VidSaver is free to use and we keep things simple. You don't need an account, we don't ask for your personal details, and we don't sell your data to anyone. This page explains the rest in plain language.

Who we are

VidSaver ("we", "us") is a free online tool that helps you save publicly available videos to your own device. If you ever have a privacy question or request, you can reach us any time at hello@yourdomain.com. (Replace this with your real contact email.)

What we collect

Not much, and never your name or account details — because we don't ask for them. When you visit the site, our servers automatically receive some standard technical information that almost every website gets, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. This is used only to keep the site running, secure, and working properly.

When you paste a video link to download it, that link is used to fetch the video for you and is not stored to build any profile of you.

Cookies and advertising

VidSaver is kept free by showing ads. To do this, we and our advertising partners (such as Google, through Google AdSense) may use cookies — small files saved in your browser — to show relevant ads and measure how they perform. We may also use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit and which pages are popular, so we can improve the site.

You're always in control:

Your rights

Because we're based in the EU, you have the rights the GDPR gives you — including the right to know what data is held about you, to ask for a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain uses. Since we don't collect personal profiles, there's usually very little to act on, but if you'd like to make a request just email us and we'll help. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Denmark, that's Datatilsynet).

Children

VidSaver isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Other services and links

Downloaded videos are delivered from their original third-party sources, which have their own privacy practices that we don't control. VidSaver is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. We'll keep it just as clear and short as it is now.
